Nice man!

man if u ever complain about your mic and pre amp again ima hit you!
Joint was nice man, smooth as hell

I thought the quality was real nice on that one too. You wouldn't believe what preamp i used. I used the preamp on my $70 behringer mixer!!! I've been trying to get that sound for a while now and i achieved it thru mic placement, hi cut on my mixer, and compression/reverb/delay settings. How about my lyrics man? Was they pretty good? I was tryin to do like a Jay-Z type thing.

I was gonna buy a rane ms 1b to see if it would sound even better, but my car wanted money so it busted one of its hoses. I gotta keep the behringer for a while longer now but i might not even buy the rane. I like how my vocals sound now.

man u straight, and i mean that to say you don't need anything else, let the mixing engineer handle the rest, you good man

Dang, i just realized that you were the dude from soundclick. Them beats is nice cuz. I rarely hear anything that inspires me anymore, except oldschool music, but when i listened to them beats i started makin a beat man.

LOL. I am the mixing engineer, tracking engineer, anything pertaining to the song. I do my songs by myself. It is very funny sometimes when i hit record and run to the booth! I've tripped and fell a couple times! I played it back to hear it too!!!

same here

i might take some pics of my set up to let ya'll see how i get down

Nice flow and nice beat. Sounds crisp and clean thru my Wharfedales. Who made ya beat? I need beats like that to fit my style of flow also.

To quietb03, i'm usin a Studio Projects C1

To qb2k5, i made the beat also. I've been makin music since age three. Been rappin for about 3 years. I'm still a novice at rappin. Makin beats is my specialty!

Yeah I can relate to that. I haven't tripped yet lol. What I do is slide the track 15-20 sec over on top of the pre record count so that i have more than enough time to get adjusted for the beginning of the song, for the rest of the song I just put the marker about 15-20 sec back away from my punch-in. I think he was saying that you are doing (pre-production recording-AKA- rough mix) leave it up the (production engineer-final mix) to mix it down properly, just get your vox recorded as clean as possible. If on the other hand the song is only touched by you before you want it to hit the streets than you are doing the right thing.

Yea. I don't have a production engineer or the cash for one! I'm tryin to learn it all man.
