Stand Up Comity
Well, almost. I just won the bidding on a pair of PS6 monitors.

This is a rather slow forum, isn't it.

Yeah, it is slow.
The "vocalists" tried to take it over once for their own ammusement.
Congrats on the monitors; I must say, I haven't heard the PS6's.

I run the 20/20 BAS's, 3 of them for L-R-C, and a pair of the 20/20 passives for the rear surrounds and a Jensen JS800 for the sub.
I've been real happy with Event's monitors.

I have Events (tr5), they were my first and only pair of monitors. Since I haven't had experience with others, I can't speak relatively, but as far as I'm concerned, they sound really tight, and i'm definately happy with the purchase!

My TR8s are cool.

Nice 'n loud. Oh, and accurate, that's important....I think.

Actually, the day they were delivered, I was at work and they ended being dropped-off at my neighbour's house. Quite what they thought of the large boxes labelled 'Studio reference monitor' I don't know...

i also got the tr8's

before i had these i only worked with 6" woofer-speakers,
tannoy reveal (those nice red monitors)
some roland and some JBL speakers

i'm reall happy with my Tuned Reference machines...i heard some people say that they aren't very flat reference, but damn, i'm happy with them,

its the first time i'm using active monitors, and they do get pretty hot, i mean, where you plug the cables, in the back,

so i wonder, do you guys also unplug the power-plugs whenever you don'"t use them ? or can i just let them stand there and get hot;.. can it harm the amps inside the monitors ?

;.just wondering,,,,,
cheers,
eary

earworm -

my TR8s are on all the time. All day, all night, in my studio. I only really do music work at weekends, so they're on without being used...
