Our album just released a few days ago through our indie label, Turkey Vulture Records. They have put us up on 101 Distribution, Juno Download and iTunes. We're currently promoting through Facebook, Reverbnation and YouTube.
Promotion through Facebook is pretty straight forward. With YouTube, we've made a slide of our album cover and attached a full length song to it and made a video out of that. We've only used our singles. We then post them as responses to videos of similar music with lots and lots of views. We added tags to the videos that would ensure a wide variety of hits from random searches.
We made sure to put links to where the songs can be purchased in the descriptions of the videos. We're not really sure if this is going to work but it will serve as a good test.
