No harm no foul,

I have seven tracks on cool edit and I want to double the section of the verses (make them twice as long within the song). How do I do it? I can isolate the section in question, and even create a looped pattern with it, but duplicating the pattern within the song--along all seven tracks-- has me stimied. please help

as I understand it. You need to make a gap in all the 7 tracks, as big as the part you want to double.

ok.. say the part you want to double starts at 0.12.345 and ends at 0.23.456..

1. Splice all 7 tracks at 0.12.345 and 0.23.456
2. select and 'group' all 7 tracks after 0.23.456 and move them away to the right.
3. select and 'group' all 7 tracks between 012345 and 023456. hold shift, and drag them with the right mouse button (copy) until they are fitted to 023456. (use 'snap to waveforms')
4. Drag the waves you moved in step 2 back in place.
