I know sometimes we all have to bend the rules a little to get certain sounds or effects, but I'm talking about the really weird things we do. For instance, my computer, hence my recording software is in my living room (not ideal as a studio) and my music room is in a house next door. Lately I've been recording parts (like drum and vocal tracks) on a 4 track cassette then transferring those tracks to the pc and adding other tracks from there via mixer and soundcard. It's a bit inconvenient but so far it seems to be working. I was just wondering if anyone else is doing anything similar or even stranger things or might have any tips on anything I could do to improve on this system. Basically I lay down a ruthm guitar, click track, drums, and vocal track on the 4 track, silence the click, load into the pc, then add bass, lead guitar, keyboard or whatever i need on the pc. There has to be an easier way but due to space and noise levels I haven't found it yet, oh well anyone else doing anything weird?
