Its not very often I get to do this...

I never usually get an oppertunity to record a band. So when this oppertunity came up I was rather excited.

I used the POOREST of mic's to record the kit.
I used 3 dynamic Samson mic's. (2 for toms, one for snare)
I use a Sure c606 on the Hat
A pair of old pencil condensers I have
An SM58 for the kick (I know.. i know..)
And a mic that basically didnt work on the floor tom. (It costed £10 from a market stall, about 4 years ago).

Behringer B2 through my Penta Pre-Amp for vocals.

Everything else when directly into Sonar.


After hours of tweaking, this is what I came up with....

Sounds good, its not super high-tech but it sounds fine. I like the song, not crazy about the scream-sing but its a good tune. Nice work with minimal stuff. :cool:

Thanks for the comments. I agree about the screaming!
 
The drums sounds suprisingly good to me, except for the snares. I'm planning to do something like that but a 57 on snare and cheap akira mic for the overheads.

I really like the vocal sounds and very good for the minimal stuff you used.
