Very Nice!

Constructive Criticism - Some compression on the vocal to even it out and a little ambience reverb so it is not so sterile.

Great job!

re: great job

thanks!

Like the suggestions too. I am working with a Roland Cakewalk UA-25EX. I am getting the hang of it now and like it very much. Perhaps I will try turning up the compression knob a bit and see what happens. When I do vocals at least.

I am recording with Sonar LE which is what it came with.

That's a nice little interface and I am a Sonar user. The LE is pretty much the same as the big brother with the exception of the number of tracks and some of the included effects and instruments.

If you haven't already, go to the cakewalk site and get the latest upgrades (free) to get your LE version up to 8.5. It is very stable and has a better audio engine as far as CPU load etc.

I would continue to record with a completely dry signal (no effects) and then add compression, EQ, and reverb with Sonar LE. If you apply effects while recording, they are permanent, but if you apply them after recording, you can always experiment and change them if necessary.

Sonar LE has some very nice compressor and reverb plug-ins. Add them to your effects bin on the tracks and adjust to taste!
