Have you thought about DSL? It's cheap. USWest, for instance, offers 256kbps WITH ISP services for like $60 a month. I wish it was available here. Plus there's that Free DSL service in San Diego (and elsewhere I'd imagine).
If you find a bunch of those survey marketing companies, you can pay for your net access by taking surveys. I've recieved 30 dollar checks before from the Brand Institute so I know they're on the level.
If there was ANY other viable option in Bozeman here I'd get it. ISDN is 80 bucks for the line and 80 bucks for the ISP a month. Private DSL is 90 bucks a month for 128k service and well over 100 bucks for 256k. Satellite would be an option except that DirecPC has download limits which I won't put up with...and it doesn't work for games (REALLY high lag).
