oh, you'll be alright. :D

that's what they said about the kid who could play GH without the game machine...he was playing acoustically.

Ooh right... dammit! Forgot a portion of my own reference

The Virtual Marshall Stack, of course: if you could see it, it'd tower over you.

Last weekend my 17-year-old daughter had a couple of her girlfriends over hanging out. I was in my bedroom studio noodling around on my LP through my amp.

Knock on the bedroom door: "Daddy, can we come in? I told them that was you playing and they don't believe it."

Haha, so they came in and I played around a little more and then played 'em one of my latest recordings through the TASCAM. Her friends were quite impressed.

I figure if I can still fool high school girls then I must be doing something right. :D

Yup, Best scam kids ever came up with to get some $$$ or the car keys from Daddy.

It's amazing how old music gets recycled. A few years ago some friends of my oldest son came by my studio with him when he visited from college. They were unimpressed with my digital mixer, my Les Paul and almost everything else...but when it came out that I had been friends with Sterling Morrison of the Velvet Underground in his Austin days they were in awe.

I hate to burst your bubble but do you remember how refined your musical taste was when you were seventeen.

:D

Actually, that was about the age that I started listening to the Moody Blues, Yes and Genesis. Before that, it was mainly Shostakovitch, Benjamin Britten, Janacek, Debussy and older music like Bach. Oh well, it's been downhill ever since. :)

Cheers,

Otto

Nice. I seem to scare people off when I pick up the guitar. :( My dog/cat will leave the room as soon as I reach for it. And my mom closes her door.

one of my dogs will come into the room and howl along while I'm playing.
