I've got an old gateway 2000 computer(windows 95) and have recently aquired a newer more powerful Dell(windows Mel). My question is, is it possible to hook up both computers together by cable and use one monitor and keyboard to work/access both
computers??? Bob

They have switcher boxes that you plug the monitor, keyboard, and mouse all into that go to both boxes and can switch between them for both.

Two Computers hooked together?

Hello Cris

Well to be spacific, what I had in mind was my gateway has an upgraded sound card but my newer Dell has a CD burner but
the stock sound card won't handle digital recording so I was just
wondering if I could somehow hook them together and utilize
the best parts and have both hard drives for storage but I
guess I'm dreaming. Probably need to just pull the soundcard
off the gateway and install it on the Dell. The bottom line is
I'm just wanting to burn a CD's from my digital/midi recording program but can't at this point due to the low grade sound card
on the Dell. Bob

You could network them directly together. But if the Dell is faster wouldn't it make more sense to just swap the sound cards and do the recoding on it?
