How do I assign 4 different tracks to the 4 inputs on my Delta 44 so I can record them simultaneously? Is this possible? I would think... I just don't know how to route it all out. I have CoolEdit Pro and just got Vegas, and I would really like to take advantage of this functionality. Thanks in advance.

to utilize four inputs at once you have to be able to assign inputs to each channel in your software... your software has to recognize four channel inputs on your hardware, not all software does this...but there should be versions of cool edit and vegas that will do this.

best thing to do....

read the software manual

you should be able to assign each Delta 44 input to a track in the program. I'm using Cubase and my hardware inputs are as follows: 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R.

Juanito - in the multitrack view of Cool Edit, after you open a new session, click on the lower of the two grey buttons marked "1" to the left of each track. It'll open a box for you to select which channel you want to record from. (If you click on the top "1" button, you get to choose which playback device you want.)

If it's blank, then you have to click on "Device List". Then you click on the arrows and get the drop-down menu that lets you choose recording and playback devices for each channel.

Never mind...

Thanks for the help... Queue figured out that since I'm running windows 2000, I had the wrong driver for the Delta card. Previously it wouldn't let me select the 1/2 or 3/4 ins from the card, but I've got the right driver, and it works as it should. Anyways, thanks again!
