Is this mixer compatible with my audio card?

I'm about to buy the M-audio Delta 1010LT, so I could get the two XLR inputs for the mics I have now. The next step after that is for me to get a mixer, and then a condensor mic. Is the "Soundcraft EPM6 6-Channel Multi-Format Mixer" Compatible with that audio card? I was thinking of using the S/PDIF inputs for the audio card, but wasn't sure if the mixer had an output for it.

If it doesn't, or if there's a better mixer for cheaper, feel free to post a different mixer up that'll work. I figure around 6-8 inputs is what I'll need, since I'll need at least 4 for drums, and if I'm playing with someone, another 2 or 3 inputs for anyone else (guitar, vox, etc.).

Is there anything else that uses S/PDIF or Wordclock inputs? I know what MIDI is, but not much about the other two, other than that S/PDIF is the same as what DVD/CD players and game consoles use.

Thanks in advance for any help

Unless it's a digital mixer it probably doesn't have S/Pdif output.

"Soundcraft EPM6 6-Channel Multi-Format Mixer" does not have direct outs from its pre amps. I would look for a mixer that has direct outs if your goal is to record multiple channels at once.

Any mixer with Aux out, tape out, subgroup out, or main outs is Line level and can be fed into the 8 line ins on the sound card (some adapters required or 1/4 to RCA cables)

Get a USB or Firewire mixer and you don't need all that other crap
