Is this legal?

A website? Sure, they're legal as long as they don't contain child p0rn.

If you're asking whether the guitar is a genuine 50th anniversary Black Beauty, then no. Read the small print:

"The Product photos and following product details below are from the official websites, for reference only. We are not able to show every guitars we can make, but as long you show us your request, we are able to take your special custom order. If you have any thing unassured, please do not hesitate to contact us."

So they'll build (read: source) a knock-off to your liking. I would avoid. In general, try not to buy guitars online.

This reminds me of the crappy but really good looking speakers you see for sale in the clearance stores like XS Cargo. You listen and realize that they will never compare to quality speakers but DAMN, THEY LOOK GOOD. This stuff looks great and the copy is well written but it puts me in mind of what you see on tradetang.com. I could walk into my local guitar shop and try a dozen different guitars but maybe only two or three would appeal to me. I would never buy online. The real value here is that it is fodder for fantasy. Wouldn't I love to have the real thing.

yeah I knew theyre not gibsons, i was just curious as to how they're able to do that without gibson hitting them in the face

i wonder if they're real... i'd almost be tempted just for the hell of it... if it nots that great, pick a fight with it, and win!

It wouldn't be legal if they built you a guitar that says Gibson on it. They won't.

Of course they probably won't build you a guitar at all. Send 'em money and see if you can find the website again.

I ordered this old show on DVD from a website once that took $200 from me and didnt send me anything. I sent the ic3 on them and got $400 back.
Maybe I can buy one of these, send the ic3, and then get back 2000 to go buy a es339 :p

Apparently Slash's favorite Les Paul and the one that he recorded appetite for destruction with is a "1959 les paul 'replica'" because he couldnt afford a real gibson. Now his custom gibsons top 5 grand.
Im not a slash fan but this seems like a perfect place to dump that useless story

Not only that, but the amp he used on "Appetite" was a rental.

Pretty funny that Gibson issued a tribute model of a copy. Money money money money......money.

have a look at trade tang in china...thats where all the knock offs are being sold online...I doubt they sound better than epiphones and squires but theyre not the cheapest..maybe hang it on the wall lol

Ive seen a couple turn up on c'list, mainly in Canada where I think its easier to get this shit through customs...some are honest sellers from the off, some get caught out immediately

if you buy from there thinking its legit then tough..buyer beware and you dont get $2500 guits for $250 anywhere in the world..nuh huh

just thought this might be a dodgy post...remove it if so mods..I dont want to see a deluge of Gibbon Less Pols or Fendar Startocasters arriving on our shores anytime soon lol

$250, kcearl? It comes up at $549 every time I look. If it were $250, or under $200, I might take a chance, but $549 is almost what a Epiphone Les Paul Custom cost at Guitarget- and you can play the Epi before hand, return it if you don't like it, get a factory warranty, etc. etc. $400 saved makes it a worthwhile risk; $50 certainly does NOT.
