Okay how is the shure kit for micing drums? It comes with 3 sm57s and one Beta 52

would that do good with 2 Oktava MK-012K Condenser Mics for over heads?

it would? okay because im thinking about geting that set up today

andy other comments?

Well, my name is not Andy but I have comments.

The SM-57 is most likely the most versatile mic on the planet. You can mic guitar cabs, snare drums, toms, Tom Petty's vocals, hammer nails, throw them at terrorists, etc. They just do everything well. Are there better mics? YES. Will you be sorry you get a kit with 3 SM-57s and a BETA. No way. You will use them for something long after you quit using them for the reason you are buying them now. :)

Depends on where you get them. I have a pair with the three capsules and the attenuator from The Sound Room and I LOVE these mics. If you get them from somewhere like Guitar Center, you just need to audition as many as you can get your hands on. If you can find a good one, they're very good.

The MC012's are simply the most versatile mics I have. I would not myself choose the the Marshalls as overheads-Richie
