Hey yall,
Since my vista home premium laptop with 4gb ram can't handle my full-blown band projects, I am looking for something heavy duty where I can really get down to mixing without hickups. This is a desktop I have within my reach...
Specifications:
HP Pavilion Elite HPE-370
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bits
- Intel Core i7 processor 860 2.8 GHz
- level 2 cache 1 Mb + level 3 shared cache 8 Mb
- Intel H57 PCH
- 6 Gb RAM DDR3 4 DIMM sockets
- supports 8 Gb DDR3 memory
- 3 Tb (2x 1.5 Tb) SATA 3G harddisk (7200 rpm)
- video: nVidia GeForce GTX 260 Special Edition (1800mb)
(I do occasionally edit heavy video.) This Desktop is referred to as a Gaming pc, and I KNOW noise will probably be an issue. But it's on a lay-away pay per month kinda plan... Otherwise I'd have to save a whole year and let's face it, who has that kind of time and patience....I don't.....
It costs 1550 Euro...
Thanks !!
