Hey yall,

Since my vista home premium laptop with 4gb ram can't handle my full-blown band projects, I am looking for something heavy duty where I can really get down to mixing without hickups. This is a desktop I have within my reach...

Specifications:

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-370

- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bits
- Intel Core i7 processor 860 2.8 GHz
- level 2 cache 1 Mb + level 3 shared cache 8 Mb
- Intel H57 PCH
- 6 Gb RAM DDR3 4 DIMM sockets
- supports 8 Gb DDR3 memory
- 3 Tb (2x 1.5 Tb) SATA 3G harddisk (7200 rpm)
- video: nVidia GeForce GTX 260 Special Edition (1800mb)

(I do occasionally edit heavy video.) This Desktop is referred to as a Gaming pc, and I KNOW noise will probably be an issue. But it's on a lay-away pay per month kinda plan... Otherwise I'd have to save a whole year and let's face it, who has that kind of time and patience....I don't.....

It costs 1550 Euro...

Thanks !!

That should handle just about any project that you throw at it.

I would stay away from an HP.

They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, and do not give a $%#@ about their customers.

I am most likely filing a lawsuit against them soon, as I just emailed the CEO this letter.

Please avoid HP, it is for your own good!!!

" I just wanted to inform you guys I am opening up a lawsuit with Kimmel and Silverman, the lemon law attornies. After sending my computer back 3 times, and over 30 hours of talking on the phone with you guys, my computer is still NOT WORKING. After recently calling and escalating my case for the 4th time, I was NEVER called back even though I was told I would be. The damages are of a high price, because this has been impeding my business and destroying my revenue. I was told I would get a new, UPGRADED computer yet I still was never called back by your company. This is the 3rd computer valuing over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS I have purchased from you guys in the past 2 years, and I am treated like dirt. Your monopolistic actions are no longer going to be accepted. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau. If I am not responded to within the next 3 days, I will take this as a confirmation to proceed with a lawsuit. My wireless button, as I am sure you know, blinks on and off. It renders the computer unusable, and destroys any work or business I am trying to accomplish at the moment. If you would like to contact me with a SUPERVISOR, feel free to at 908-xxx-xxxx after 12 pm. Please understand that I am a very loyal customer, but I was treated like garbage. I would have loved to invest in more computers, because albeit they are good, however you give me no other option. I will accept nothing less than a maxed out computer as a replacement. If you cannot fufill this for me, I understand and will proceed with my lawyers. I do promise you however, that it will become more costly than it is worth for you. Thank you and I hope you attempt to repair the bond you broke with me asa customer. The lemon law was breached in this case, and I expect to be made whole. "

^^They actually just called me. After all this grief they are thinking about sending me a new computer. I am DEFINITELY filing a suit.
