Is this a good package?

I'm looking to start recording myself playing guitar. I have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier with a 4x12 cab that I plan on selling to buy a good sounding combo amp and a recording setup.

PreSonus FireBox Studio Package

PreSonus FireBox 24-bit/96kHz FireWire Recording System
M-Audio Studiophile DX4 Powered Monitors Pair
Audio-Technica ATH-M20 Closed-Back Headphones
MXL 990 Condenser Microphone with Shockmount

It also comes with a few cables.

I found that package while browsing around, and wanted to know what you guys think. Is it good to go, or should I just put together my own package with different products.

I'd like to mic my amp, once I find one with good tone. Any suggestions on that? I don't play live, but I'd like an amp that has the ability to play live, as well as sound great recorded. I'm mostly a soloist, but I'd like to be able to record all types of music. Good cleans, and good distortions.

What sound card is recommended, and why is it useful when using a firewire input?

Also, I will probably be putting together a new guitar. What pickups do you guys recommend for solid recording?

Ultimately, I'd just like to be able to sit down at the computer with my guitar out, my amp on, already pre-mic'd and ready to go, and just start recording through my software. I usually use Cubase, but I wouldn't mind getting to know ProTools. I'd appreciate some suggestions on which to get comfortable with, and which sytems are compatible with which hardware.

Thanks guys :p
