I'd go check em out if you can. Take a drummer with you.
Depending on the condition and whats there as far as hardware and cymbals ...
might be an ok deal.
If the dudes desperate .... might be able to haggle him down some. :D

Well its hard to say because he doesnt say what model tama they are or what line of Zildjians, but if you were to just buy the iron cobra double pedal it would be about 300 bucks on its own. So that would mean the 12 piece set and zildjians are about 450 and that is probably a fair deal unless they are beat all to hell.

Why do you want a 12 piece kit?!

It´s hard to tell from crappy pics... I guess is a Swingstar or a Rockstar... Not great drums, but not awful neither...

If you ask me, i would prefer to buy a nice all maple 5 piece kit... (On the other hand, most drummers carry their own cymbals, so don´t worry about it)

I'd go for it!

At that price I'd keep a 5 or 6 piece kit out of it and sell the rest. I saw double kick drums. Why on earth does he have a double kick pedal?
The hardware on the swingstar and rockstar is pretty good. That's what I used for my custom maple set, the hardware from an old swingstar set.
The cymbals are just a bonus. If they're good cymbals it's a win. If they don't suit you, sell them on eBay. You could probably make more than you spent on the whole deal by selling off the parts that you don't want.
It's not the biggest steal of the century, but it seems like a pretty good deal.
