Is this a fake Sennheiser?

Hi all. I'm so noob to microphones. Bought a secondhand Sennheiser MD 431 II but I'm not sure if it's genuine. I have less than 24h to send it back for a refund, so I'm in a kind of hurry.

The top part (basket) is metal, below is not. The on/off switch works, including the lock. The silk print looks the same as the original.

The microphone sounds fine to me but I don't have the slightest clue how a good mike sounds and I don't have any other one to compare. I couldn't find much of an info on the net about the MD431II, but from what I've seen, the exterior looks exactly the same as an original EXCEPT for the bottom end (where you have the base of the XLR jack, please see the second pic) is white instead of the black ones I've seen on ebay. The black ones I've seen had 3XXXX serial number (?) on them and mine has 20XXX, so there may be a change with the product during the time. But this made me suspicious so I disassembled it to see the interior.

If anybody has ever seen the guts of this microphone, or know how a genuine supercardioid Sennheiser should look from the inside, could you please confirm whether it's real.

Below are the photos, sorry for the second one, couldn't make it look better.

Thanks in advance for all the help, any comment is appreciated.

Well.....the wall was in focus. Do you have pics of the outer shell?

Even after you took it apart? I hope there isn't some kind of seal in it that will allow them to tell if you took it apart.

And why does it look wet to me? Is it just the picture?

Very careful eyes moresound. The wetness looks like kind of a lube, dunno why it's there. As I've written earlier, I'm a total noob about this.

The wall was in focus coz the camera couldn't focus any closer even in macro mode. That pic was only taken to show about the 'white buttom'. I didn't take the pics of the outer shell but I can assure you that the outside matches perfectly by the looks with an original one.

@RAMI
And, there's no seal in it, and even if there was, I would return it if was fake.

Thanks for the comments though. Guess I'll have to take it.

Can anyone tell how much handling noise could such a microphone absorb? This one doesn't seem to absorb any. I mean if I rub or tap my fingers on the handling side, I can easily hear the noise.

Handling noise shouldn't be a problem in the studio you put it on a stand and don't touch it just sing into it or capture an instrument...but for live that's an other story.
