To augment means to increase, so to make an Augmented chord,(BASIC VERSION) simply take any Major chord, and raise its fifth one half step.

The fingering i use for B aug is attached.

Major triad: major third on bottom (between root a third), minor third on top (between third and fifth)
Minor triad: minor third on bottom, major third on top
Augmented: major third on bottom, major third on top (making the fifth a raised fifth)
Diminished: minor third on bottom, minor third on top (making the fifth a flatted fifth)
