Hi. I am a guitar player but I also own a Yamaha PSR-290 electric keyboard. I can dink around enough on keyboard to play orchestra sounds, piano, etc. and record them to sound like a full band by myself.

I have a lot of external foot pedal devices for my guitar: distortion, compression, phaser, chorus, etc. You know the scoop.

Do they have a foot pedal processor that includes dozens of other instrument sounds you can plug your guitar into, then to your amp, and record other instrument sounds while actually playing guitar like you usually do? If so, that would be the BEST way to record other instruments!! I can dink around with single keyboard patterns to get a sax sound, but if I could play it on guitar, my ability to play solos would make my sax recording sound so much more real because I know my way around the neck. Plus, you can utilize slides, bends, vibrato, etc. on guitar which is hard to do on an electric keyboard.

I'm sure their are enough separate VST instruments or software synths to get the job done. But I want to do it on my own, real guitar with a hardware effects pedal or "multi-instrument" pedal. Do any exist??

Is a V-Guitar a real guitar with built in multiple instrument sounds you can trigger by flipping switches on your guitar? Not sure what you mean. I have a Fender Strat and a Fender Telecaster.

Is that a brand of guitar you're referring to?

Another vote for V-Guitar here, a friend of mine was in a covers band for ages and he had one. They may as well have had a separate keyboard player, it integrated so flawlessly with his sound. You can trigger sounds and still play your guitar's normal sound over the top.

Discontinued item apparently, Amazon and Musician's Friend don't even list it as existing. Pity actually, I like the GR 20 much better than its replacement.

Still 7.5 times the price of the Sonuus item, just an option. I have a Yamaha portable grand I got on the black Friday sales, be interesting to see if they talk to one another.

Strange, it's not discontinued here in the UK? unless there is a lot of surplus stock available here?
