Q: My FIREPOD stopped showing up. What's going on?
A: The FireWire PHY on the FIREPOD probably blew. It's a common problem. Call Presonus.
Q: My S/PDIF port stopped working after I upgraded the firmware. What should I do?
A: The current firmware is broken. The exact words from Presonus tech support will be "S/PDIF isn't supported with that firmware version." Contact Presonus for a reversioner. If that doesn't fix the problem, contact them for a replacement. It's hosed.
Q: My FIREPOD instrument pres hum.
A: Yeah. They do that.
Q: My FIREPOD seems to use a lot of CPU power.
A: That wasn't a question.
Q: How do I make it use less CPU power.
A: Replace it with an 8Pre.
Q: Do you ever answer any questions without being a smart-ass?
