I've got a song where the heavey B consonants weren't caught by the pop filter.........is there anyway to mix to minimize these.....or does that pretty much ruin a track?

Try a compressor with a side chain. Feed the side chain with the signal EQed to the bandwidth of the plosive.

Kinda like a de-esser, only a de-ploser.
