that has 8 analog outs that are post everything (post eq, post fader, post gain, post everything??????????????????????)

mackie sure doesn't make one, ya fukkkin RE-TARDS!!

NO WONDER YOU HAVE TO BUY OUT THAT TRACKTION COMPANY SO YOU CAN SELL IT YOURSELF AND ACT LIKE YOU ARE INNOVATORS, WHOEVER MADE THAT PROGRAM "JULIAN" IS THE INNOOVATOR AND YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE A COMPACT MIXER WITH 8 OUTPUTS POST EQ!!!!!!!!! HA, U SUCK!!! FUK U AND THOSE BRITISH EQ'S!!! WORTHLESSS!1

You know, a Mackie 8 Buss was considered a "compact" mixer compared to a NEVE 8 buss console!

well the buss outs are post everything, including the buss inserts

However, the usual rule is, AVOID ANY EXTRA AMPLIFIER STAGES

Use the least number of active components you can. Even the channel out which IIRC is post fader on the mackie, would have me going thru way too much stuff for comfort

I hate to say the B word but I'd rather go thru the behringer's ada8k on the way in

ALOHA my friend, yes I agree with your perspective thank you for sharing I appreciate any ideas because I'm struggling here trying decide on a system.

It's a damn shame that mackie can't make just one(1) mixer that has 8 direct channel outs that are post eq and post insert and aux so I could add efx on the way in if I wanted to, like you said I would rather not go through extra amplifier stages but I do want to be able to EQ etc on the way in...

thanks for the recommendation and I'll check out, can you think of any other companies...I guess there's not too many good budget mixer companies and I don't care for alesis, I've heard lots of good and lots of bad about the behringers so I don't know who to believe but I'll check it out.

oh yeah and the compressor and gate on reaper seem useful and professional yet pretty straighforward to use...there's another tutorial I had a question on...can't seem to remember at the moment...ahhh

btw, are you in Hawaii?

i'm selling a soundcraft spirit live8 mixer that has inserts that are post eq, but not post fader. thats what the gain knob is for anyway. i sadly don't have a need for it in my setup and i just want it out of my house so i'm selling it for really cheap. it sounds really good too.

ok the mackie analog 24-8 has direct outs that are post eq post fader

Direct Out:

"post eq/post fader/post mute. the output signal of each channel strip is always available at the direct out jack. Using the Direct Out does not interrupt the normal signal flow through the channel."

so it is post insert and aux too? I can add efx...

wait a fukn minute i can't affrdt this mixer anyway

Spirit live 8 - 32 channel 8 bus live sound mixer? How much?

that's actually way overkill for my needs, but I do appreciate the offer and do you have a link or approximate price? everything in working order?

its only an 8 channel board, but i think they made 16/24/32 channel versions. i just saw that you wanted direct outputs post insert which this won't do.. i used the inserts as direct outputs (but they were post eq), but it does have 4 busses you can use post everything.

not at the moment...

What is the reason you want the outputs POST everything? EQ or something?

You will never find a board that is post aux on the direct out, at least not in the standard aux fashion. Typically aux sends have nothing to do with that. There are boards out there though where oneof the the aux sends can be converted to be a direct out level rather than a standard aux send, but in those scenarios the direct out is no longer post fader, and is usually pre EQ.

Well, I made an entirely new topic that did not appear, waste of my time, cmoputer bullsh1t!!!

I talked to a couple people at diferent live sound and recording stores and they told me that basically their is no such device for what I wanted to do unless I go up to the big 32-8 analog boards, which is way overkill for me at this point.

There IS NOT one compact analog mixer with 8 outs that are post everything...

So I asked them about EQ's that would just EQ 8 channels as well as control the gain, but they said I would have to buy a bunch of 2 channels rack EQ's or some bullsh1t...

I have to say, I never realized how completely moronic this recording gear industry truly is, how retarded the designers and leaders of these companies are...there is no piece of gear for a simple process of taking 8 channels of audio, adjusting volume, eqing, and gateing/compressing/effecting all channels seperately before recording into a daw.

It also shows the stupidity of so-called musicians, you would think they're would be an uproar for a company to support a market like this what with all the latency and misalignment issues, it would allow people to not worry about going back and re-aligning every single track if you could do 8 or more at a time, hell their should be 16 channel devices like this, but all the emphasis with compact mixers seems to be on live recording.

I don't want to click a mouse to eq something I want a real time nob and an analog eq with sweepable lows, highs and mids...somebody get on it!!! and plus the ability to add efx and outboard compression with real nobs not mice.

There are actually plenty of devices that will accomplish what you need. You however are a complete and unbelievable ignorant idiot and now after all your crap I am not going to tell you what equipment will solve your needs.

Likely any analog eq you can find under 500 dollars a channel for a channelstrip would be of such grodiferous quality that a decent plugin eq would smoke it

Just being analog doesnt mean anything good, it has to be good analog.
