Inherited a Teac Reel to Reel from my father. Rewinds but that's all; reel won't engage and turn when I press either "play" or "record". Estimate for repair is $150. Is this player worth repairing; is it a quality unit or entry level? I don't want to get it fixed just for sentimental value. Yet I don't want to just set it out with the trash. I have a few tapes, some that my dad made and some prerecorded. I don't need or necessarily want a R2R. If I did, I've seen some nice used Teacs for sale for $300 and up.
