Is the Stedman any better than the 24 dollar metal pop filters?

...I have an original Stedman and I also have the Peluso screen (the 2nd link you list)...no difference...either will do the job...as I am sure the other one you reference will as well...save your money and get the lower cost version...you have to realize that Stedman was the first to offer the metal type, so there were no other options except the nylon, but in the past year or so many other metal-type variations have become available...

Metal Pop Screens

I saw one review awhile back that was very very positive about the Stedman.

It might be wise to do a web search on the reviews

I personally own the sE Electronics version that looks exactly the same as the Stedman 101 but the sE is $39.95. :D

Anyone have any experience with this one? I plan to place my weekly Musicians Friend order this afternoon :D and wonder if I should pick one of these up while I'm at it. Think this one would be as effective and transparent as the Stedman and the others listed above?

I have one of those...they work well for the purpose of pop filtering but, I found that the flexible arm on it was a little weak. It had a tendancy to not stay where I positioned it. A little aggrivating. I found the big fix by inserting a piece of coat hanger wire inside the flex arm. It works great now.
