Are the names of the bands protected by legal ways?
My questions comes because my hometown band had picked the name POLVO, but recently we heard that there exist a band named POLVO on the US (and from where I heard, they say that they are pretty good). First I said, "No problem. We aren't getting famous". But recently we are thinking on doing a demo CD, and hoping to tae our business more serious.
Also, recently I had come across a band named MUSE (from UK) and another band named MUSE from USA.
I know that we aren't lawyers over here... but I could get a surprise.
