Definately Not.

You'll need a dedicated drum machine, or, even better, a sampling workstation (MPC, Roland MC)

A cheap, even free way to get going is to check out some software packages (Reason, Arturia, FruityLoops) and plenty of the free samples availible online.

Sky, those are some of the worst sounduing drum machines out there. Are you a Casio rep or something?
Get a sequencer like a Yamaha QY70 or a Roland MC50. If you want to make beats like the big time rap and hip-hop stars get an Akai MPC2000. That samples and sequences beats as well as other sounds.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT get a Roland sequencer if you want to make beats. You can get a Roland groovebox, but not one of their sequencers, including the MC-50. They are tape-recorder style machines, and pretty much useless for beat making.

Go with the sampling workstation thingy. Those are typically the best for making beats.

Don't take this as sounding rude....

The MICRO KORG is more like a beat making accessory used to create synth sounds. If you didn't know that then you should do some more research before you think about trying to buy any gear. What a good computer program can teach you might be the best for your time and money right now.

I suggest going to the HIP HOP section of these BBS and finding out what the other cats are using.

If you know that crap... Then it's supposed to be a good piece for synth lines and basses.

I don't totally agree that a MC-50 is useless. You can program patterns in MC-50 (especially if it's MKII :) ) and plug a groovebox (like Korg's EA), drum machines, samplers, etc...

A good sampler for makin' some beats is Roland's SP-404...
