is the layla24 worth the extra $200-300 bucks?

I have the Gina20 now, and I am happy with the sonic quality, but I need more inputs. It appears that used Layla20 are going for <$400 if you look around, while the best price I can find on a Layla24 is$699. Is the extra $$$ worth it for the Layla24....and I don't need or want the ADAT I/O.
 
has anyone upgraded within the Echo/Event line?

Seems new Layla20's are about $549 too.

and...do the new Layla24's run cooler than the Layla20 ?
