Is it the Sound card?

I use CEP on my DELL 1100 labtop,

when recording, the voice dosen't playback thru the headphones...

The Windows mixer has a mic box for Recording, but not for play back....

Could a sound card allow me to hear what im recording as I do it?

can i put a soundcard in labtop?

Yes...look into usb breakout interfaces
and should I ask...whats a labtop
