Is it possible to rent high-end mics?

It's certainly possible and if you can't find a good music store in Seattle, you're not trying! Just don't do what Kurt Cobain did and rent a shotgun mic from the wrong place...(groan!)

Our band is recording our first album at home.

We are using Cakewalk Pro Audio, a Mackie 1202VLZ-PRO as a preamp, A Layla card for PC I/O.

We want the best mic we can get our hands on for vocals, but we just dont have the resources to buy the top of the line.

My question is this: Is it possible to rent high-end mics? Anyone know of a place in the Seattle area?
