i recorded a mix on cake walk homestudio 9 and accidently recorded itt on mono and and i need to convert it to stereo (so i could hear it out of both speakers).....if it is not possible to fix this with cakewalk is there any other prog i could get to convert my mixx?.....thanx in advance

Just pan it to the middle, and it will come out of both speakers.

If it was a stereo guitar sound that had lots of cool chorusing things sweeping across the stereo spectrum, that ambience will be just plain gone, though a mono impression of it will remain.

is there a way were i can convert the file??

is there a way were i can convert the file so i could burn it on a cd in stereo...i already tried mixing it down to stereo

If you mixed it down to stereo, what's the problem? I'm not sure I understand. If you mixed it to stereo but all you hear is on one side, then either everything in the stereo file is panned to that side, or something's wrong with some hardware somewhere -- the CD player? If it's the panning in the mix, all you can do is do it over.

If you really have a mono WAV file, and you really can't redo it, open it up in a WAV editor like Sound Forge XP or CoolEdit and save it as a stereo file.
