Is it possible to apply two different single effects on one track in the 2488NEO?

Applying two different single effects would be very useful in the 2488NEO. For example, I might want to use a CHORUS to thicken a track, then apply a reverb. Is that possible? I keep reading the manual, but there is no clear explanation, only something on page 32 about effect sends, showing loop effect, effect 1 and effect 2; which are not fully explained. The manual is poorly written to say the least.

There is a feature called "Multi Effect" that gives you a series of effects on any channel.

In the manual I'm looking at (PDF from Tascam website), these are described on page 41, but to get them working you may need to read from page 39.

The effect chain is described on page 112

(sorry I can't help more but I don't own one of these)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the multi effects for guitars? I think I'm right. Various guitar are listed, distorted , acoustic , etc. See page 112.
So, as I understand, it's one and only one post effect available for each track that has been recorded, either a guitar multi-effect, or one single effect. That's it. The only other choice is to vary the level of effect, and the amount of signal available for the effect, "effect send," p 32. If it weren't for my incoming effects coming off my Yamaha synthesizer, I'd truly be limited using just the 2488NEO.

The multi effects are intended for guitar but you could use them on any source. Unfortunately there is no reverb in the bunch. You could try a multi effect with a chorus and a delay.

Page 32: Does anyone know what the two effect sends (EFF1 EFF2) are "using the two effect sends jacks?" How are they used to add more effects to a track that has already been recorded. What are they talking about? Again, there is no explanation regarding use.

You shouldn't be using the single effects for something like reverb. Put it through a SEND.

EFF1 EFF2 are for sending a signal to an external device. You connect a cable from the EFF jack to the input of your effect unit then from the effect unit back to an empty input on the 2488. You dial in the amount of signal you want to send out. You can monitor the effect send by selecting EFF SEND ½ as your monitor source.
