well i went to convert 17 mp3's to wavs and decided to use my CEP.(new user). i hit the convert batch button and Viola, it converted them instantly. now----like i said is it me or is CEP that fast? i was using CDEX (shareware) before and each track took a few seconds. shouldn't CEP take a lil longer to do this?

...I believe it's been CEP tradition to work that fast :) I love it cause it fast !!! Faster than any similiar apps...

;)

just curious....how's the quality of the mp3's ?
And how fast is the reverse process?
I only used CEP96 back in the days, so i'm a bit curious to how it is now.

they sounded great. like i said i'm a new user so i'll encode again tonight. i used Nero the last few nights cause it's all built in to burn a cd right after.

ok, while i'm at it--does CEP have burning capability ?

Sure does!

Yep, and you can download the CD burner from the syntrillium site. It's a fast download, and it's free (beta ware, so they're not responsible if it doesn't work). I use it very often and it works like a charm. If it ever acts up, just do uninstall/reinstall.

I might be wrong here, but I think that when you open mp3s with CEP, they're automatically converted to .wav, so a conversion to .wav would indeed be instantaneous.
