Is it impossioble for me to use hardware processors with my current set up?

Here is what I have...

Instruments into a Delta 44
Delta 44 into the computer.
I use the computer for all my mixing (and mixdowns).

So, since I do everything solely with the computer, there is no way to play the signal from the computer ou and into a processor and then back into the computer in recording mode at the same time without getting an external unit...right?

Why not run the instrument through the FX processor and then into the PC?

To answer your question, no , I have never seen a computer interface with sends and returns like a mixer would have.
 
Running the instrument through the processor before getting to the computer is of course an option, but often it is AFTER the recording , when all the tracks are done and I am doing final mixing that I often want to have these components available.
 
You can use two of the outputs as sends and two of the inputs as returns...
 
AlChuck is right. That's why it's nice to have a card with lots of jacks.
