Cubase beginner & HELP !!!
hi Im a beginner to Cubase SX, have tried to record but unsuccessfully, It records but only for about 10 seconds before it crashes, then a little box comes up saying "Audio Engine Out of Sync", Im using a Pent 4 with a Gigabyte 8IPE 1000 Pro 2 motherboard 800 fsb with a 2800 chip, Ive got quite a few other different programs on my PC and my ram has gone from 512 down to 340, what Im asking is, have I got enough ram to process the cubase recording ? Im presently using Asio Full directX duplex setup with a 512 buffer setting in control panel which has synchronized my monitor up with my guitar signal somehow, I brought it down from 2048, as there was latency with the monitor signal, I can play back recorded projects from a friends setup and all, but when I want to record, it just siezes up and Ive heard that the Audigy LS soundcard isnt compatible with cubase SX (AAP - Asio Positioning Protocol) am I on the right track ?
