Is anyone not using Windows to record on a PC?

As in, is anyone using Linux or some other alternative to Windows for recording, or is this not really an option.. I'm not talking about Macs.. since that isnt something that will run on a PC.

Technically, you can't say that GNU/Linux is an "alternative" to windows. It isn't an alternative, it is a completely different OS.

Whatever. I don't think anyone is confused by me calling it an alternative... i just want to know if anyone is using anything else to record and what it is.

I use the PlanetCCRMA bundles added on to Fedora Core 2 for the PC based stuff I do. Most of my tracking is done using a Korg DX16XD.

Gentoo 2.6.11-r7 64bit. Audio apps in 64bit are a bit of a problem right now. Only one I get running the way I like is Mhwaveedit. It is enough right now. Once I go back to multitracking I'm confident Ardour will compile.
