As much as I wanna see it.. I'm at work.. ugh!

Humorous yet still entertaining and talented as well. When he turns it into a rap mix, I see Three 6 rapping on that for some odd reason.

Anyway, the DJ is just as important as the artists. They all play their roles. I think a creative DJ can be a musician as well. Only using samples as instruments and tweaking it using tables. Shit, in an industry that uses so much sampling by so called musicians, if they're considered musicians why shouldn't a DJ be if he's flipping samples and making them unique as hell.

I'd say yes a Dj is a musician. They play the turntables. Use it as an instrument. It takes skill...

At a certain level.

I assisted a DJ friend of mine for a Senior Prom after party years ago. I just played a few records after he showed me how to cue shit up, etc.

Technically, I was a DJ, but I was NOT a turntablist. I had no creativity, etc.
Gotta be able to make those turntables say something new.

Djing does take skill but I dont know if Id call them a musician thats a grey area for me

Tight clip... I say yes.. they are... Turntablists anyways...

Now...if all a DJ is doing is spinning records and playing it for what it is...that's not music, that'd be like me making a long sequence of mainstream tracks in Traktor and then trying to showcase skill...ha!

A turntablist can take that mainstream track and make it totally new and give it a new sound. That takes skill

YES!! Not dj's that do 5 year old birthday parties for a buck. but dj's such as Dj break. Turntabalism is an art and i tried it a few times and it is hard to master. Also mixing 2 tracks together at perfect tempo to each other and making it a new track takes skill. Good Dj's are deffinatly musicians as it is all creative, making new beats, scratching etc..
