Hi,
I'm new to the recording/interface side of things and just purchased an io26. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on hooking up speakers to hear sounds/playback via this interface (wanting to listen what I have recorded, or just listening to general sounds -mp3, wav etc..). I;m not getting anything at the moment.
It says in the manual to use outputs 3-8 (on the back) for monitors etc..I'm just using basic speakers at the moment which has a small headphone jack. I have a balanced 1/4 connector (adapter) > speaker jack is plugged into this 1/4 adapter and then is plugged into the io26 output "3".
All the XP window settingss (in the control panel) are set to use the io26. I pulled up the monitoring interface and none of the channels are muted (the meters are lit up in the GUI as well as on front of the io26 when playing back). I have all the latest drivers and firmware installed for the io26.
Is the volume controlled by any of the gain knobs on front etc...Any thoughts?
