Hi guys,
I am a newbie here experiencing a dropout problem with my io 26 firewire soundcard, first a little history, I downloaded the latest drivers from Alesis to my home pc at the end of Febuary with my Norton security and Windows defender both turned off in order to get a "clean" download, I then transfered these by flash card from my home pc to my studio Carillon, this machine does not go on the internet, and am experiencing seemingly random dropout problems, this happens with my own recordings a well as with Windows media player, I am using Cubase studio 4 and my Carillon computer has 1.5 gig of RAM and 2.4 gig CPU, I have CS4 installed on my home pc and the same problem occurs with this machine too.
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted or does anyone know where I could obtain the io 26 drivers on a disk, I have the original Alesis supplied disk with the earlier drivers but when I try these I cannot access the control panel to adjust buffer sizes etc, I am tearing bits of flesh off trying to get a stable system so any suggestions will be tried thanks, sorry about the length of this post.
Regards in anticipation Domo
