G'day,

My name is Cameron, I live in Austalia. I've been playing guitar and piano for 6 years now and I've gotten into some home recording :)

I like composing rock sort of pieces and acoustic rock. I got an audio interface (M-Audio) with Ableton live suite a couple of years ago but I hadn't really got into it till this year.

So hopefully I'll learn a lot on the forums :D Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Welcome Cameron! Keep a sense of humor here. It will come in handy. Some of us can be quite sarcastic at times. Some of us are just a pain in the ass. Some of us are helpful, sarcastic pricks! LOL. :)
 
Heya, welcome to the site. Australia has a great delegation here and they are very creative and talented. You're in good company.

And as Jimmy said, sense of humor and also a thick skin helps around here. :D

You never mentioned where in OZ you live.
What microphones do you use?
 
ahaha, yeah, believe me, I know what I'm in for. I've been apart of a hilarious group of smartasses on a forum for 5 years now. I wont expect this to be anything to different then :P

Moresound, I live in Sydney, NSW. At the moment I only have a Sure PG58 mic : I have access to a Rode Condenser (not sure what model) at school then I borrow on the weekend sometimes.

I cant believe I've been a member here for a year already. It just feels like it's been a few months.
It's a great place, but can get rough if you:
a) let people know that you have dreams, and arent prepared for them shit on you
b) speak directly to famous dave
c) get lost in The Cave
d) run into the occasional gear snob
e) try to spam out the marketing forum
f) mix on headphones
:p:D

But really, welcome. It's cool around these parts.

I'm kinda new here aswell. I joined in to sort out a couple of questions that I had.

I too play piano and guitar. I'm not gonna say I strickly play any style in particular.
but I do greatly like acoustic rock. If you ever feel like doing anything w/ me just let me know ; P

There are some Debbie Downers here that just love to take some starry eyed kid down a few notches... I am not one of them.

just avoid the Cave - it will make you bleed from several orifices.

*and yeah don't mix on headphones - :D
