I dont know much about the subject. Would anyone like to share some stories about getting your stuff on internet radio and podcasts??

I was on one podcast. I have no clue as to how they found my stuff or who they were.

Find an net radio you think your music would fit and submit.

alot of hosts or dj's who run internet shows have contacted us, through myspace and email, but i dont think it would hurt to search google for internet radio and podcasts in your genre, and email any contact emails you can find with a brief description of your band, and links to your music (or an electronic press kit). Let them know that you need help exposing your music to more people.

You will find that these people who run these internet radio shows and podcasts are very supportive if they like your music. They generally do this because they are tired of whats on the radio, and want to find independant artists who they can listen to and push as an alternative to mainstream radio.

If your music is good enough, best believe you will get your music on internet stations and podcasts if you contact the people running the shows and let them hear your music.

I have had to electronically or physically sign a few contracts allowing people to broadcast our songs on a few of the bigger radio shows and podcasts like indiefeed network.

but the best way i would say would be to collect emails and links from your genre, and contact them 1 by 1.

I have uploaded my songs HERE . And they were broadcasted in few shows. I think podcasters look for music to their shows there...
I have also uploaded my song to Last.fm

I'm in the same boat, but one of my songs is at live365.com. I have no account there and never gave permission for them to use it. Which I probably would have. But it would have been nice of them to ask.

I'm on one podcast but you have to be invited to upload your songs there. Kind elitist I guess. But their actually pretty cool people who own and do the podcasts.

The indie bible has a huge list of radiostations you can submit to. Also MusicSubmit.com will do some of the submissions for you, for a fee, the Podcasters Network allows you to put your tracks up for podcasters to use, and they give you credit, I've noticed my stuff on alot of podcasts from this site. The folks at www.insidehomerecording.com have some tips on podcast related promotion.
