Internet File Xfer Protocols...OK for DA?

I have a tune appearing on an upcoming compilation CD; & the producer has listed an internet (large) file transfer service (YouSendIt) for uploading the completed .wav file (as one of the ways to submit material.)

Should I be wary of this?

Can the .wav be compromised during the file transfer? Are internet data transfer protocols safe for important files?

I'm a bit leery of using an asynchronous, discreet packet xmission...being assembled at the other end; & all that.

Would appreciate some insight.

i dont know about the compression

but i do know that yousendit keeps the file on the server for 7 days or a certain number of downloads, so if you concern is that the file can get to other people, i think you might want to just burn it onto a data cd and send it via mail.

Actually, if you really concerned about both, i suggest you do that to save yourself some worries.
