Internal mic on MR-8, not bad!

I had been using my Behringer XS2000 mic to record my acoustic guitar and had never even tried the MR-8's internal mic til last night to record a rhythm guitar track slightly left, and lead picking track slightly right. That little mic is pretty good, it picks up better than the Behringer but I'm sure that's because it's omnidirectional? What mics are you guys using? Would I be better off to just get me a Shure SM57?

Different mics offer different options. I use an SM58 for some vocals, a condensor mic for some vocals, and an SM57 for other things. I run guitar direct, without mikeing.

I have an accoustic pickup, but have done nothing with the accoustic yet on the MR8.
