Internal battery?

Last time I was going to play my Roland E-35 keyboard it just died. When I turned it on there was some crackling noises from the speakers and it just went dead. I have not been able to turn it on since. I checked the power adapter, but it seems to be in order, so im wondering if it could be the internal battery or something that might need to be changed? Anyone have any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong?

Synthesizers are complicated machines and as such are very difficult to offer fix-it-yourself solutions to on a BBS.

It COULD be the internal battery, but usually there's some warning of the internal battery being weak -- like losing the presets and needing to reload them.

Take it to a Roland approved repair shop and pay what they ask to get it fixed. It'll be a whole lot cheaper than junking this one, which is no good to anyone at this point, and buying something else.

I doubt its the battery, its only purpose is to retain memory when the synth is turned off. Sounds like a power supply problem. I would heed ssscientists advice and take it in
