Intermediate 'black box' to convert optical to analog

I have been taking a hard look at the Emu 1212m, but the only physical outs are S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and ADAT. This kind of puts it out of the running unless I can lay my hands on a reasonable format converter. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A used ADAT could funtion as a converter and could be found cheap.

This card has two balanced analog inputs & outputs... It's funny but the I/O description on all of the sites I visited only list the inputs, but if you look down at the specifications, there they are...
