Hi chaps when im recording my tele if I set the pick up selector at either bridge or neck settings im getting a very slight bit of interference coming through the headphones but not on th middle setting any ideas???? guitar is a squire tele custom with p90,s

Interference = buzz/hum? In the middle pickup setting, both pickups are active and must be wound in opposite directions, cancelling the hum. That's the basic principle of humbuckers.

Get a long cord and move about 30 feet away from anything electronic in the room....find the spot where there is less interference....then spin around in a circle slowly unitl you dial in the least amount.

Then throw the guitar down and grab something with humbuckers.
