Interface to my setup!

Hey everyone!
I've just started working in a studio and we want to do an interface upgrade.. We'll use a Presonus Digimax 96 or a Onyx 800R (Don't know yet) With 4 more preamps with analog outs..
We're looking at the Digi 002, to use Pro Tools. (Cause here in Brazil Pro Tools = Clients, too), and we don't have much options here...
Can you suggest me anything else in this price range, with better converters and features?? (Forgetting about pro tools)

Oh, the Daw will be a PC Core 2 Duo/3.0ghz (I think)/ 4gb ram and two 120 gb HDs...
 
I'm looking for a recording interface.. to connect my studio! and my preamps too ;)
everybody is saying good things about the RME.. but i guess i should go with the Fireface 800, am I right?
 
well, if you're wanting to use PT, you don't have much choice....you have to use one of the Digi/M-Audio options.

And they're not known for their preamps/converters
 
yeah, i know..
but forgetting pro tools.. What do you suggest?
Cause I will use my external preamps, so I don't need the interface preamps..

dude, bennychico threw something out there.

RME makes nice cards. I have a Hammerfall HDSP 9652. It rocks. No problems, ever.

On the software end, everyone is raving about Reaper. I use Logic.
 
software is not a problem, anyway.. I was thinking about Pro Tools cause the clients are always asking about it... It's annoying.
but RME seems to be a good thing. I guess I will get the Fireface... so i can use it with a macbook too.
