Interface Recommendations For Recording 8 Tracks Simultaneously?

If I want to start recording a full band with live drum kit, 3 vocals a bass and 2 electric guitars, what kind of interface do you recommend I use? I don't want to just set up 2 mics and record the room to stereo. I'd like to have separate tracks for all (or most) elements.

Would something like the Fast Track 8r work?

I use Saffire Pro40 for recording a live band. Although I only put 3 to 4 mics on the drum kit but I find it sufficient. It supports 8-inputs simultaneous recording with preamp on them.
 
I've got a Zoom R24. It also has 8 mic inputs as well as a bunch of standalone recording options (but works great as an interface too).
 
Tascam US-1800 has 8 mic inputs, 10 preamps, 4 line in and 2 digital ins for a total of 16 simultaneous tracks for $300.
