Interesting plugin observation

I was having trouble mixing a song - vocals were all muddy and fluctuating in volume all the time. Nothing sounded good.
Found out I had my main bus Compressor after the Limiter. I changed the order and everything was back to normal - opened it up and the mix was easy.
You wouldn't believe how long it took to find that though....
 
Got to get Mike to change his copy today. :) Going to try some vocals on his new mic/pre later. Not sure how well I can sing with this summer cold but I'm anxious to try it out.
