A very interesting mixer from Behringer,

Using the processing of an Ipad to make up a mixer with digital processing and probably recording.

Seems like a waste - just put the brain in the board, the iPad can do a lot of other stuff that you don't need in a mixing board.

Line 6 just released the Stagescape digital mixing board that can use iPads as remote controllers - each performer can dial up his personal monitor mix, etc.

I imagine the designers are thinking that everyone will own an iPad.
But to me ..... since I have no interest in one, it just adds 500 bucks to the cost since I'd have to buy one of those too.

As for the mixing board ...... meh. It's an interesting idea ...... you could have a zillion 'verbs since you can use plug ins ..... you could have speaker management and room correction and all kinds of things like that.
You could probably have different EQ'ing sections ..... parametrics on any channel you want etc.
For me, it's a matter of setting up and playing ........... I don't really need any of that but I can see guys that would,
